Our streak of rain-less Tuesdays almost came to an last night.... and on the heels of my claim of the improved forecast. As I started to sweep and put up signage at the one mile mark of the course drops of rain began to fall and the wind picked up.  The road to the turn was already wet...  ruh-roh!

But then, almost on cue,  the sun came out and the winds died down.   It was going to be another good Tuesday.

We had 15 riders roll to the start line - 3 newcomers.     The fastest time of the night was posted again by Alex  Johnson who flew through the course in 27:19 (25.26 mph) - eclipsing his previous best by 4 seconds.  The fastest woman was  Karen Esposito with a time of 29:59 (22.14 mph).  

Notable Notes:  

Ron Nelson had a flat tire in the first 40 seconds and scrambled back to change his flat and then flatted again.  It just wasn't  meant to be tonight. 

The course was on average approximately 39 seconds slower today than last week.  That makes Alex's PR even more impressive. 

Thanks to Carrie for assisting me with the timing.  It is nice to have a little redundancy when recording finishing order.
