Hi Everyone,
We had another great turnout of riders last night for the SnE ride. We had 45 members and 3 guests ride for a total of 48 riders. Not too bad for a very warm day…but it is cooler when you are riding. The group rode a total of 863 miles for the evening.
We had our normal mix of rides. Mike Lyon was not able to be there last night but Steve Lamonica and Pete Zeleznock did an excellent job of filling for him. Thanks guys! Tom Hotaling led a group of hard riders on a 25 mile loop where they were challenged in many ways. Pete and Steve led a group that covered an 18 mile course at a medium pace. Mark Perrin of The Bikery along with Dean Connery, Roland Pearson and Al Storing took folks an a short easy highway ride that covered 10 or 13 miles depending on which route the riders chose. I had a small group that did our easy canal/road loop of 10 miles. Everyone had a fun time and I did not hear of any flats or mechanicals. J
I apologize for our not having any ice cream last night…we did have the cup cakes however. I am sure there was a good reason for the ice cream not being there. We’ll have other opportunities…be patient.
We went for a ride this morning and had a chance to meet some of the folks doing the Buffalo to Albany Canal ride. It was a little warm out there but they seemed to be having a great time. Talked with riders from Wisconsin and Missouri. It’s a great ride and I enjoyed doing it 12 years ago…you’ll never forget it. they are overnighting in Syracuse at Burnet Park.
Ciao,
Tony
