As part of race weekend, the local bike shops provide prizes for the racers that we give away throughout the weekend, and this year they were extraordinarily generous.

In a day and age of on-line shopping, I know a lot of stuff is just a click away from the on-line retailers, but Amazon and Performance isn't going to make an emergency repair to your bike before an important race or charity ride.  If you haven't visited your local bike shop recently, then make it a point to head down this weekend and thank them for being there for us. Buying local makes sure that the hard working men and women working on our bikes are there in the future.
