Hi all - who's ready for the upcoming outdoor riding season? I am! Here's an update.
-The winter training facility closes for the season on March 31st. If you stored your bike there, it MUST be removed before then. The wtf is open only when a class is in session. The class schedule is posted on our ride calendar.
-The ride calendar is now posted! So far we've got a good start on ride leaders, but we need more. Please check the calendar and sign up to lead a ride. Weekend rides start next weekend (Mar. 25th), Wednesday and Friday rides start the second week of April, and Tues/Thurs rides start the last week of April.
-We have lots of great rides planned again this year. Our slow and easy rides are returning on Tuesdays and Thursdays; Brian is leading our Time Trials on Tuesday nights; we have what I like to call "fast and furious" Wednesday night rides; social Friday rides; and Saturday and Sunday long rides throughout all areas of Onondaga and surrounding counties. Also returning this year are the fun Monday night mountain bike rides at Great Bear, led by Tom H. This year, Tom will lead the rides every Monday evening starting in June.
-Looking to improve your bike riding skills? Starting the last Saturday in April and continuing for six weeks, we'll hold half-hour clinics before the Saturday ride. These will be taught by experienced members of our club. More details to come!
-Todd and his team are hard at work planning Syracuse Race Weekend, to be held this year on June 23-25th. We'll need "all hands on deck" to make this a successful race, so please plan on helping out that weekend.
