Hi Everyone,
What a great night to ride! The weather was fantastic…just right for a ride. We had 42 members and no guests last night for a total of 42 riders. A nice turnout but a little disappointing when you consider how perfect the weather was…too many conflicting activities or events going on. The 42 riders covered 816 miles over three routes.
Mike Lyon was away on business and Tom Hotaling was out of the area but we were fortunate to have Glen Larson fill in for Mike and Mary Shick Jeavons and Crista Jeavons take over for Tom. Thank you all for stepping up.
Mark Perrin of The Bikery, Dean Connery, Al Storrings, Roland Pearson and I led the easy road ride in one form or another covering 10 or 13 miles depending on the route the riders chose. Glen Larson led a 24 mile intermediate level ride while Mary and Crista led the 24 mile challenge ride for the more experienced riders. Everyone had a good time and enjoyed the great weather.
There were no reported flats and only one incident reported. One of our riders reported a mid-air collision between a rider and a bee which resulted in a sting. We won’t name the rider to protect the innocent.
Thanks Josh for the treats after the ride. They were much appreciated.
Ciao,
Tony
