Smart Cycling Course
April 6 and 7, Rochester
The New York Bicycling Coalition will be presenting Smart Cycling, an on- and off-bike workshop for bicyclists to improve their comfort and ability to ride by themselves and in the presence of vehicular traffic.
This excellent workshop is also the pre-requisite for becoming a League Certified Instructor (LCI) by the League of American Bicyclists. The more intensive LCI seminar is planned for Utica in June. It does not appear as if the Smart Cycling workshop will be presented in Syracuse this year.)
The weekend class will take place on April 6 and 7 at Artisan Church, 1235 Clinton Avenue South, Rochester, NY 14620. Artisan has spacious accommodations and a perfect size parking lot for our drills. It's also very close to downtown.
We'll begin Friday at 6pm and end at 9pm. The following day we'll gather and learn 9:30am - 4:30pm.

Registration is $30 and is paid online. I believe we can accommodate a max of 15 adults for this course. It's a wonderful, fun class, designed to give people the confidence they need to cycle more. I had commuted daily for years when I took this class and I learned a lot.
Be aware a passing grade on this course (formerly called Traffic Safety 101) is a requirement for anyone pursuing the LCI certification through LAB.
