Subject: Chittenango Welcome Area
Hello Ms. Farrell,
My name is Derrick Pratt and I work for Chittenango Landing Canal Boat Museum on the Old Erie Canal Towpath Trail. This year we will be putting in a pedestrian and cyclist bridge between the towpath and the museum, which will eventually connect the towpath to the Chittenango Creekwalk. At the area where the bridge connects to the museum, the Village Creekwalk Committee and the museum are planning on creating a welcome area to Chittenango. Last night we had our first planning meeting for this area and we determined that since cyclists will make up a significant part of the people who will use this area, we should have them involved in the planning process. My first thought was to contact the OCC since your organization is the premiere cycling club in the area to see if you or anyone else in your organization would be interested in helping with this process at all. Please let me know what you think!
Our next meeting is February 28 at the museum, 717 Lakeport Rd, Chittenango, NY, at 7pm.
Thank You,
Derrick Pratt
