The TTers were greeted with sunny skies, warm temperatures (high 70s) and a moderate SW breeze. Okay. That breeze wasn't always considered with positive feelings - some stated that they always seemed to be in a head wind. Well, the times were good never-the-less!
Six TTers toed the line Tuesday night. For the third consecutive week Alex Johnson took the FMT award with a time of 23:36 (25.43 mph). His slight adjustment of the rear wheel (increasing the clearance) this week may have helped a bit. Nothing like a little tire rub to slow you down! Alex took 31 sec off his time from last week. Our Fastest Woman Time was clocked by Stephanie Tashjian, who cruised to a 28:20(21.17 mph). She's in mid-season form. Close to her heels was the fastest Jr, Mariana Rinaldo, who slammed the course in a time of 28:30 (21.05 mph).
PRs were also established by Sean Kesselring (by 12 seconds) and by 12 yr old Jorge Nierderhoff (by 35 seconds !).
So, maybe the SW breeze isn't so bad.
