Mark your calendar! This year the Onondaga Cycling Club will be holding our annual USACycling sanctioned Road Race on Sunday, August 19th, 2018: The Syracuse Road Race Classic! This is the 23rd year we've used this great race course for our road race.
This year we've made a few changes to the race format to make things a bit easier on everyone; 1 day of racing instead of 3, and we've simplified the course for the racers, drivers and road marshals, including an exciting uphill climb to the finish line on Song Mountain Road.
As always, what makes these great events is the time and talent our membership donates volunteering on race day.
In general we're looking for road marshals, pace/wheel car drivers, and there's a variety of other jobs that make the day go smoothly. This is a great opportunity to see some of the fastest cyclists in the region!
We appreciate anyone whose volunteered in the past and is volunteering again, but absolutely no experience is necessary! The club provides all of the safety gear, supplies and radios needed for the race.
To make things easy, you can just follow the link to BikeReg and select what you would like to do, or contact one of us directly, especially if you have any questions:
