Hi - If you’re interested in Bike/Ped issues in the CNY area, and can give 4 hours on a Saturday afternoon, please consider attending the meeting described in the following update If you can attend, please contact Paul Winkeler soon (paul@nybc net paul@PROTECTED)
Steve
Greetings
Here is another reason we should meet in mid-July - we need help from the collective local brainpower and experience embodied in this group to help us figure out the best way to get out a bicycle friendly message at the New York State Fair August 24-26!
This pilot - which exposes a bike friendly message to 80,000 visitors a day - was arranged through the Governor's Office and has the potential to be a permanent feature at the State Fair - and perhaps other County Fairs in year's ahead
Attached is a description of this event and it is also described in the lead piece in our most recent e-news http://www nybc net/action/bike-summit/
Thanks - and please let me know of your availability for this meeting ASAP

NYBC is organizing one of our annual regional meetings in Syracuse a month from now - please see attached brief description and outline We want you there!
This is an invite only event and in a nutshell the purpose of these meetings is to bring together folks interested in bike-ped and active transportation issues and opportunities from a variety of perspectives Let's share what we are all doing, prioritize what is important in your region and figure out a way to work together so we can get more folks bicycling (and walking) as part of a safe, complete and connected road and trail system
Please RSVP to ME via email directly BY Wednesday June 25th if you plan to attend
After a no more than four hour meeting, our local hosts will lead a slow roll bike tour showcasing the neat things happening in and around Syracuse
Lunch, featuring excellent local pizza, is on us!
Many thanks to our colleagues Sam Gordon from the Town of Dewitt and Trish Dugan from Syracuse Bicycle for helping us put together this list of invitees If we are missing someone please let me know If there is a mountain bike group active in or around Syracuse I would appreciate a name and email contact so we can seek their involvement in this event
Thank you!
