I am the ride leader for tomorrow's Peter's to Pompey ride. Ignoring for now the possibility of 100° temps and thunderstorms, the other issue is the ongoing paving of Route 91. Yes!!! After years of cycling on broken pavement, one of the worst roads in the county is finally being taken care of. The bad news is that, when we drove 91 today, there was about a mile of milled road about 1.5 miles south of Jamesville. The rest of the road to Pompey has a brand new beautiful surface. Also there were work crews and one lane travel at the active paving site. I will check out the status of 91 tomorrow afternoon to see if the paving is done. Otherwise it might be advisable to use Apulia to ride south. Also, please note that sunset tomorrow will be at 7:45 p.m.
