Hi Everyone, 

We will be riding once again this coming Tuesday, 9/4/18, from Reed Webster Park in Camillus located on Rt 173 (Warners Rd) and meeting in the west end parking lot near the tennis courts for our rides.  The ride will start promptly at 6:00 PM as usual.  I will be there for sign –ins around 5:30 pm. 

The weather prediction is for “…Partly sunny; warm and humid” according to AccuWeather with a high around 84.  This should make for warm riding.  

This is the second from last ride of the 2018 SnEW season.  If you want to try out riding as well as riding with a group why not come out this Tuesday and give it a try?  I’ll be there to take the canal group on a “Slow and Easy” loop…not a race.  Dig out your bike and come out to ride with us this week.  I’m looking forward to seeing you.  Check your tire pressures and dust off the cob webs.  You don’t have to be a member to try the ride.  Guests can ride once during the season (an insurance requirement).  If you like the ride, then you can register as a member right on the club website using a credit card or PayPal…we try to make it easyJ.  Just click here: : https://onondagacyclingclub.org/about/join-now/. While the Slow ‘n Easy rides end next week,  the are many more club rides remaining in the 2018 ride year.

What we think makes this a great ride is the diversity we offer for riding skills.  Aside from the basic canal loop, we also offer a 10-15 mile slow highway route, an intermediate highway route of 18-20 miles  and challenging faster and hillier 20-25 mile routes for all those who want to go home tired.  Four different rides to pick from. Tom Hotaling will be following option #4, 23 miles, this week for the experienced group…the route is on the website. Hopefully, Tom will be healed from his accident and able to lead the group. From beginner, to very experienced, we have you all covered.  Be sure to come out. 

If you plan to come, be sure to bring you DOT approved helmet and your water bottle for hydration.  We can’t allow you to ride without a helmet…no excuses.  If you are a 2017 member and have yet to renew do so before the ride.
