Tuesday night may have been the best night of the year so far. The breeze died out to a slight puff and whatever puff there was came from the North. A direction that isn't so bad.
As a result everyone at the very least tied their 2018 PRs.
Five TTers rolled to the line to tackle the course. Alex Johnson eviscerated the course with a time of 23:36 (24.53 mph). That equaled his previous 2018 PR. Dick Rybinski extended his streak of consecutive PRs to five by eclipsing his previous mark by 17 seconds. Rick Szczesniak armed with better knowledge of the course bettered the previous week's maiden voyage by 39 seconds! His time of 25:51 is the best for the Road category for 2018. Jeff Horst's hill climbing over the summer helped him gain the form he needed to surpass his PR from two year ago by 8 seconds. Ron Nelson lowered his 2018 PR by 13 seconds as well.

At this point the forecast for next Tuesday is for temps in the mid 70s. I'd like to move the start time back to 6:00pm to reduce the visibility issues with the setting sun when traveling west on Chestnut Ridge.
See you at the start line!
