Hi Everyone,

SNEW logo.jpgTuesday will be the last ride of the 2018 Slow ’n Easy West ride season.  So far the weather has mostly been good to us and we have had great rider turnouts.  Accuweather is forecasting “…A morning shower in spots; otherwise, mainly cloudy; humid and warmer” with a high of 72.  The weather looks like it will co-operate for Tuesday evening as we set off at 6:00 PM from Reed Webster park on Warners Rd in Camillus.  The days are really getting shorter and darkness comes quickly.

While I will not be at this ride due to another commitment, Mike Lyon had a plan change and will be there to run the rides. We will be having our same ride choices this week as we have had in the past.  Tom Hotaling has planned option #2, a 20 mile loop for the experienced riders while Mike will have an 18-20 mile route for the intermediates.  Mark Perrin and his crew will do their usual all highway easy rides with 10-15 mile choices.  I won’t be there to lead the canal ride but Mary Jeavons has volunteered to lead those who want to ride the canal/highway 10 mile loop.  Thanks Mary.

The days a definitely getting shorter with less and less daylight.  If you have been waiting to give the ride a try, why not come out this week? It’s your last chance for 2018.  Be our guest if you are not a member…we would love to have you.  We will have four ride choices as noted above that run from beginner to advanced levels with ride leaders for each group.  The 2 beginner level rides and the intermediate level ride are all no drop rides…you won’t be left behind to fend for yourself. Dig out your bike and come out to ride with us this week.  Check your tire pressures and dust off the cob webs.  We are looking forward to seeing all of you.  You don’t have to be a member to try the ride…as I said before.  If you like the ride, just click here: : https://onondagacyclingclub.org/about/join-now/ if you decide to join or wish to renew you membership.  There is still a lot of great riding left this year.

Here are the details:

                    Where:  Reed Webster Park, Camillus, NY located on Warners Rd (Rt 173) (lot on west end near tennis courts)

                                          When:    Ride(s) leaves at 6:00 PM sharp;  sign-in starts at ~5:30 PM

                                          Bring:     Your bike, an approved helmet, water bottle and a strong desire to ride;

    Dress:    Whatever you are comfortable wearing on a bike… the weather will help dictate this.  Be sure to have an approved helmet to ride.  No helmet…no ride.  Our insurance requires this.

Since I won’t see any of you again this season, thanks for coming out and joining us for the rides.  It has been our pleasure to have you come ride with these groups and we appreciate your dedication and hope you had a great time.  Mike should be there around 5:30 PM for sign in.  Have a great evening!  Stay safe!

Ciao,

Tony
