Hey folks,
The 2018 Salt City Cyclocross Spectacular is upon us, and we can definitely use some help from the OCC membership this weekend.
This is a super fun event we put on every year, and a few extra hands makes a tremendous difference in making this a great event.
Friday (Oct 19) we set-up the course out at Longbranch park in Liverpool (next to the river), and the forecast is for a nice day. Course set-up consists of setting stakes and stringing yellow tape. This year we'll be using step-in stakes, so no one has to destroy their arm pounding in wooden stakes with heavy hammers. We'll start about 2:00 pm and go until we're done. If you can't make it until after work, no problem, we can still use your help.
Saturday (Oct 20) racing starts at 9:00 am and we can use a few people to help with timing (calling out bib numbers) and running paperwork between officials and registration. At 3:30 pm we reset the course for Sunday.
Sunday (Oct 21) racing again starts at 9:00 am and as on Saturday, we can use some help with timing and paperwork. At 4:00 pm we can definitely use help with course tear-down...extra hands makes all of this very quick work.
We provide lunch for all volunteers on Saturday and Sunday, and even if you can't make it for the whole day, we can still definitely use your help.
You can sign-up on BikeReg, or better yet, contact me if you can make it.
Thanks!
Todd
