Hello OCC Peoples,

I am your fabulous (or not) ride leader for Sunday's ride from the Lysander town park. I am using my rider leader discretionary all encompassing powers to change the scheduled ride. Instead of using the LTP-5 map and route we will be using the LTP-3 map and route. Two reasons for this; The LTP-5 map has us on route 370 for a substantial amount of time. Route 370 is a high speed road with a fair amount of traffic. This time of year drivers are NOT use to seeing us "alien" bike riders on the road and some of them may not be prepared to deal with us. Also, this being the very beginning of the riding season many of us riders probably don't have our "riding chops" together yet. Not a good combination. I'd rather be on the safe side and stick to less traveled roads knowing that, yes, we do this ride again in the middle of May but so be it. If you wish to do the LTP-5 route, please bring a map or download it to your Garmin or phone from the OCC web site. I will have maps for LTP-3. The ride still starts at Lysander town Park at 10am.
