I wanted to reach out to you about our first annual Alley Cat Race I think it would be a great fit with the club It is a fun event that can be competitive or just a fun slow roll Mello Velo is sponsoring the event and there are still slots open I attached a poster with information, but here is the gist of the ride

This is the 60th year of Meals on Wheels of Syracuse We are celebrating with a variety of events including this Alley Cat race Riders will meet at Mello Velo Bike Shop and Café where they will get a bag with “meals” to deliver to various places around town ( the farthest is 3 miles from Mello Velo) They will also get a “route sheet” with a list of these spots You go in any order and any direction you want to deliver the “meals” Each stop will have a task or puzzle for the riders and then stamp their route sheet When you get stamps from all the stops, or as many as you like, return to Mello Velo where we will hand out prizes for the fastest (individual and group) the slowest, the best costume, etc

I was on Bridge Street yesterday to promote it and at least one of the hosts said she would do it

I think it would be fun and many of your club would enjoy the day
