A little late, but it was a gorgeous day to ride and apparently 18 others agreed with me and came out to Phoenix for the Gilbert Mills Ride. Bobby S and I discussed the significance of the name of the ride, but didn’t know if it was the name of a famous man or a mill. Turns out after a Google search, it was actually a town back in 1890. You can still find it on the map today, but I can’t say I’ve ever seen remnants of a town. I guess we’ll have to look closer next time.
Nice to see a big turnout to the ride. Thanks for coming out and hope to see you again!
P.S. We also had a couple riders that must have shown up early and done the 60 miles. Just a reminder that Friday rides still start at 10:00 a.m.
