Twenty four riders came out for Saturday's Tour de Little France, fairly well split among the various route options, for a total of 1134 miles ridden. It was a lovely cool day for a ride, and the scenery was spectacular.
I have to give a special shout out to Paul Vogelwede for riding with me for the entire half-century ride. He was so selfless to do that, and I would seriously not have made it without his support. There was more climbing per mile than I have ever done on a ride longer than 10 miles. I believe I set a PR for the max grade ridden without getting off to walk. Because I was not alone, I did not cry.
Also, thank you to Richard O'Neill for waiting in the parking lot to make sure I made it back safely. He was probably there for two hours! This is why riding with the club is so amazing.
Thank you to everyone for putting up with my rookie ride leading venture. I'll definitely sign up again in the future.
I hope to see you all at the charity ride!
