Friday setup: We'll start setting up the course at Longbranch park at noon. We can use people to set-up stakes, string tape and rake/leaf-blow the course. Note that we use the step-in style stakes these days, so no heavy hammers needed.Saturday: 9:00 am start: We need a few people help run registration/scoring information (USB sticks) between officials and registration and to re-set stakes that may be knocked-down during races. At 3:30 we re-set a few sections of the course for Sunday.Sunday: 9:00 am start. Same as Saturday except at 3:30 we start taking-down the course during the kids race.
Kids Race:I would encourage anyone who has any interest in bike racing to register and give it a try. Cyclocross is super fun, and Saturday morning we start with a CX skills clinic taught by USACycling coach Noel Bonk.
Sunday afternoon is our very popular CX Kids Race for boys and girls 12 and under, where they make a few laps around a shortened version of the course...come out and cheer them on! The race starts at 3:50 pm.
Spectators:
If you're not volunteering or racing, I would still encourage your to come out for the fun. Cheer (or jeer) the racers while they make their way around the course. First race starts at 9:45 am and we wrap-up at 2:45 pm.
