It should come as no surprise that I am cancelling the Time Trial tonight.

The skies are supposed to clear by 6:30pm in the TT course area, but the roads are sure to still be wet.  So, I'm calling it early   No hand-wringing all afternoon trying to decide to cancel or not.

See ya next week!

We seemed to be blessed this year for the Tuesday night TTs.  The breeze died down again to very light puffs.

We had 10 TTers show up for their personal race of truth.  The TT course once again obliged our TTers with a slew of PRs.  Of course, they had something to do with that!

Tiago Barreira again took the FMT honors with his 2nd fastest time ever - he pummeled the course into submission with a smoking 22:29 (26.69mph).  Andrew Johnston's 2nd ride on the course yielded a new PR -  he reduced his time by 38 seconds - flying through the course in 23:45 (25.27mph).  Ron Nelson garnished another PR by surpassing his previous time by 2 seconds. He has been very consistent this year.  Chris Lamothe waited 2 years to come back to the TT course and he lowered his PR by 7 seconds -  cruising to a 24:32 (24.46mph).   Ken Toscano, again, lowered his PR, this time by 6 seconds -   squeezing out a 25:37 (23.42mph) and thus lowering the best time of the year in the RoadAero division. John Burke amazingly dropped a jaw-dropping 2:04 off of his PR from last year and almost nipped Ken for the fastest RoadAero time - just finishing 1 second behind with a 25:38 (23.41mph).   This could become quite a battle - yep, I'm stoking the flames of competitiveness.   Mariana Rinaldo further dropped her Road PR - knocking it down by 8 seconds and only 11 seconds from her TT Aerobar time from years ago.

Next Tuesday could be a washout. The Tropical Storm will be moving up the coast and is projected to dump rain on us.    We shall see.

Enjoy the beautiful weather!
