Looking at the radar it appears that it has rained on the course... some yellow/orange has hit the first mile or two of the course for sure. The trajectory of some red cells have them passing over Chestnut Ridge at 5:45 - 6:00pm.
It is not safe to run the TT tonight. It is CANCELLED. Let's hope we can get back on our winning streak of sunny Tuesday evenings.

So much for avoiding staring at radar screens and the skies. The latest track of cells potentially has green(showers) spreading over the course starting at 5ish... with a potential yellow/orange cell hitting the ride start line at 6:00pm.
I will prepare as if the rain will miss the course. If I see widespread rain that wets the road, I will abort the mission. It is not safe to have people on the course going full speed through the corners.
Txt me if you have questions. Or if you have information about the roads being wet before I get to the start ( I may be sweeping the part of the course that is still dry).

Well unfortunately this may be one of the days we will be looking furtively at the radar screen for rain cells. The is for a 60% chance of rain at 6pm and 7pm. Temps will be around 83 degrees and the breeze around 8mph SW.
I will send an update later in the afternoon. Hopefully the rainstorms won't develope.
