Consensus of 10 riders was it was a perfect day for a beauty ride. We enjoyed the summer like weather, lake views and a bit of fall color riding around Skaneateles Lake. 7 riders rode 41 miles, 2 rode 50 and 1 rode 45.4 (turning back to 41 route). The S wind back on RT 41 was much appreciated!
Only incident was piles of loose stone on the climb up Glen Haven Road. Slow going for all. One rider was unable to clip out and tipped over. My group got a funny comment from a driver as we toured past the lake homes on Glen Haven Rd. It was “Good luck with the climb”. Light bulbs went off when we got to the stone.
