Mother Nature toyed with me as I drove to the TT course. The rain probability at 6pm jumped from my optimistic last update of 20% to an ominous 80%. I was tempted to send an email, but decided to roll the dice. As I swept the course a few drops fell, but, nothing substantial. We were good to go at 6:15pm.
We had seven TTers roll to the start for the inaugural Time Trial of 2021. No delayed start to the TT season this year! We are ready for normalcy! Our fastest male was Ron Nelson who sliced through the SW breeze in a time of 24:23 (24.60mph). Ron's TT times are always consistent regardless of the conditions. The 2nd fastest time was clocked by Sam Sampere's 25:16 (23.74). Placing 3rd overall and first in the RoadAero division was 16yo Junior Kaleb Toscano. Kaleb crushed the course with a 26:03 (23.03mph). He lowered his PR by 51 seconds! Watch out Dad! Everyone else had solid times and a good start to the year.
Well that's all for now. Come on out next week!
