For those of you that looked out your window this morning and saw wet roads and thought "Nah, I'm not riding today. I don't feel like getting wet" or something to that effect, well, you missed a glorious morning for a ride. Yes, there was sporadic spray from the roads for the first 30 minutes or so. But, the roads were soon bone dry.
The temps were in the high 60s, the breeze was light and the humidity was non-existent. The 35/45 mile route was an interesting mix of serene roads winding along the lakes to the east of Caz interspersed with climbs to provide some challenge.
We had 15 riders attend the ride. One was a guest.
1 - 7 miles
2 - 17 miles
1 - 20 miles - Guest
1 - 34 miles
10 - 45 miles
Total Miles: 545 miles
No issues reported by those that got past the 7 mile mark. I had a spoke in my front wheel explode at the 7 mile mark. I didn't think I was overeating that much! Luckily I got picked up by a retired avid biker taking his garbage to the dump. It was such a nice friendly gesture.
