Amazingly, um.. I mean predictably, the weather last night improved dramatically as the TT start time approached. By 6:15pm the skies became partly sunny and the winds dropped off to a slight breeze from the NW. Temperature was around 62 degrees. One potential TTer had arrived early and pre-road the first part of the course and became demoralized by the strong headwinds and heavy air at that time. He opted to do a training ride and run instead. He did not have faith in the OCC WCS (see previous email) !
We had 9 show up, and 8 actually officially ride the course Tuesday night. One newby showed up, welcome Jr Jon!
The FMT time was set by Zwift Everester (look it up) Tiago Barreira who scorched the TT course in his 3rd best ever time of 22:16 (26.94mph). All of which are top 10 course times. The 2nd fastest time was rode by 16 year old Junior Kaleb Toscano who set another PR with a time of 25:48(23.26mph). He lowered his previous PR set 3 weeks ago by 15 seconds. The FWT time was set by Karen Busse who flew through the course in a time of 27:28(21.84mph).
While Mother Nature keeps tossing challenges our way, we have had 4 decent weeks for the TT. Let's hope the streak continues.
'Til next Tuesday!
