While the CNY area is seeing its share of heavy rain, we should be in the clear by 300pm. There is some precipitation that is due to creep in from the south up to Rt 80 around 5:15pm. I'll keep an eye that to make sure it doesn't somehow leap over Mount Pompey and rush to the north towards the TT course. I think the 25 mile buffer should be adequate.
Barring that unlikely scenario, I'm planning on holding the TT tonight.

I hope all had a great July 4th weekend! Sunday and Monday were beautiful days to be outside. It was certainly in contrast with what the poor riders of the TdF had to contend with. That was brutal! So cold and wet that many were losing feeling in their fingers. Unfortunately, it appears that the race has boiled down to a race for the 2nd and 3rd spots on the podium. Although, the green jersey battle may be heating up and add some drama. One thing I noticed about 5 stages ago is that the production people at NBCsports didn't catch that their estimates for the climbs were incorrect. They didn't convert meters to feet when stating the amount of climbing for a particular climb, which, of course, made the climb seem 1/3 smaller than it actually is.
Today's forecast is looking pretty good. Any mid-afternoon rain should stay to the south and not cross over the TT course. Temps will be in the low 80s with a NW breeze of 9mph at start time.
See ya at the start!
