The conditions Tuesday night turned out pretty much as predicted. Temperature was 71 degrees and the light breeze appeared to be from the S-SE. I'd estimate the course speed rating to be 9.1/10 . The breeze was slightly favorable, but the cooler temps and low humidity temper that advantage.
Six TTers lined up to deploy their impressive power output on the Fastest Course East of the Continental Divide (newly earned title). After a six week hiatus Tiago Barreira showed up hunting for a PR. He eviscerated the course and matched his 2nd best time ever - posting an FMT of 22:09 (27:09 mph) - only 9 seconds off of his PR set last year. Our FWT was again Susan Andersson who blasted her way to a 24:47 (24.21 mph). She has been very consistent the last 4 weeks - all times within in a span of 4 seconds. Ken Toscano managed to squeeze another second off of his PR in the RoadAero category by thumping the course in 25:25 (23.60mph). Greg Low had the fastest Road "Eddy Merckx" time by powering through the course in 25:33(23.48mph). Kurt Andersson was only 10 seconds away from his PR. Sean Kesselring equaled his time from last week. Will he get three in a row next week?
Next week we will be starting at 6:00pm due to the earlier sunsets.
If the weather stays nice and people want to come out I'll extend the season past next week.
