I have to admit when I saw the forecast of a 7 mph NW breeze for the TT evening I figured the course would be a bit more challenging than usual.   I saw Ron Nelson warming up on the course and asked him what he thought of the conditions. I was surprised to hear him express positive feelings about the speed of the course.

Ten TTers rolled to the start line of the Race of Truth.  Tiago Barreira exited his Strava pain cave to test his fitness on real roads. The result was stunning.  He blasted through the course like a cruise missile and established a new PR of 21:45 (27.59mph).  Amy Kneale pulverized the course with the FWT of 24:25(24.58  mph).  In the RoadAero division Ken Toscano led the way with a blistering 25:17 (23.73 mph) - only 2 seconds off of his PR.   Mariana Rinaldo back from a year of collegiate competition posted a huge drop in her PR (-1.37) in the RoadAero division -  an impressive time of 25:37 (23.42 mph).    Unfortunately for Ron, he dropped his chain and it cost him an opportunity to challenge his PR.

Kudos for the strong effort of all!  Impressive.
