Well, Mother Nature decided to add torrential rains to the mix for the challenging "Alps" ride. There were no takers - myself included. The only positive note is the fact that the rain hit convincingly at 8:40am to squash any hope of pulling off the ride. Getting dumped on in the middle of the Moonhill climb would have be so much worse.
La Vuelta Espana has begun! So far 3 flat stages are completed, today is the transfer from the Netherlands to Spain. The mountain stages start in earnest Thursday - Sunday. Primoz Roglic is looking for his 4th red jersey and claims to be fully healed from his TdF crash. NBC Sports is carrying it on Olympic Channel and on Peacock. Enjoy!
