Participants personally presented the case to New York State Senators and Assemblymembers to vote to pass six (6) bills during the current 2023 legislative session. Each of these bills are designed to make it safer for pedestrians, bicyclists, and other vulnerable road users to use New York State’s streets, roads, highways, and bridges. During the 2022 legislative session three Coalition bills promoting bicyclist & pedestrian roadway safety were passed by both houses of the legislature and signed into law by Governor Hochul.
