Throughout Autism Acceptance Month in April, we are excited for a CAI-sponsored event, the Eagles Autism Challenge! A first for CAI and CAI Neurodiverse Solutions, I want to tell you the incredible story behind the Eagles Autism Challenge and the work they are doing to support families and individuals with autism.

Jeffrey Lurie, Chairman and CEO of the Philadelphia Eagles, began the Eagles Autism Foundation in 2018. Motivated by his personal connection to the autism community, Jeffrey made it a priority that the Eagles organization would embrace workplace inclusivity and generate strong community impacts. The mission of the Eagles Autism Foundation is to support the highest quality research and care in the field of autism by providing the necessary resources to doctors and scientists at leading institutions. The Eagles Autism Challenge aims to inspire and engage the community to provide much-needed support to make a lasting impact. An annual bike ride, 5K run/walk, sensory walk, and virtual event open to the public, the Eagles Autism Challenge raises funds to support the Eagles Autism Foundation’s mission, and every penny is put directly to its cause. Since 2018, the Eagles Autism Foundation has raised nearly $20 million!

Their commitment to improving lives of people and families with autism perfectly aligns with CAI’s vision of bringing neurodiversity into the workplace. And now we are excited to add to the impact.

I invite you to join us at the Eagles Autism Challenge, on Saturday, May 20th in Philadelphia, participate virtually, or simply donate to the cause. Our goal is $15,000. Will you help us?

How to participate:

  1. Race in-person or virtually: On Saturday, May 20th,the Wawa Shorti & Junior 10-mile bike ride, Wawa Classic 30-mile bike ride, FreedomPay 5K Run/Walk, Sensory Walk, and Virtual 5K will take place. Eagles players and coaches will be biking, running, and walking alongside with you! Not near Philly? No problem, the virtual event is for you.

Start your registration here. As part of our sponsorship, your registration fee is waived! At checkout, enter the promo codeCAI23”. Invite your family and friends to join our team—they can use the promo code too!

As you fill out the form, on the third step you will be asked to participate on a team. Please choose “Join Team” and then search for “#TeamCAI”—this will help us reach our goal.

Prizes are up for grabs! The top two fundraising CAIers will receive authentic and signed Eagles gear: a Jordan Mailata football or a DeVonta Smith helmet! Fundraise like crazy.

IMPORTANT NOTE: CAI will not reimburse for any costs. You will be required to cover all travel and hotel expenditures and you are responsible for the commitment to the fundraising minimum. If you do not raise the committed amount, your credit card will be automatically charged at the end of the fundraising timeframe.

  1. Simply donate: If you’re not the racing type but want to be part of the impact, please donate any amount you’re comfortable to our larger #TeamCAI or a participant on our team.
  2. Maintain motivation and morale: I invite you to join our LinkedIn group, #TeamCAI, Eagles Autism Challenge. Similar to past CAI-hosted 5Ks, this space will be how we motivate one another. Post pictures, training tips, and some healthy competitive banter in the group!

Up until the event, we will provide you with more updates and stories from our associates.

Thank you for your support and go #TeamCAI!

Thanks in advance.
