To celebrate our first ride together, there will be a free Bike Handling Clinic from 4:30 to 5:30 pm in the Minoa fire house parking lot. At 6 pm, we all ride out. Choice of mileages as usual. Cookies afterward, courtesy of Stuart!
The bike handling clinic is for everyone, including:
Those who are curious about mountain biking.
Road bikers who want to benefit from skills instruction (skills apply to all bikes).
Those who are new to cycling or to the club.
No registration needed for the pre-ride clinic-- just bring your bike and helmet at 4:30. If you have a mountain, gravel or hybrid bike, bring it for the clinic portion, but a road bike will do just fine if you only want to bring one bike.
The clinic will be led by my brother Frank Winters.Frank is a level 3 mountain bike coach with the National Interscholastic Cycling Association and has gotten hundreds of people started safely in mountain biking.
