I was disappointed by the decision to cancel this morning's ride. As stated on the website, the club policy is:


Ride Cancellation Policy: In general, rides are not cancelled. For almost any weather condition, there is likely to be one or more willing riders. Thus, ride leaders should be sure to attend even if conditions are very poor and they don’t plan to ride.


If the ride leader doesn't plan to ride, all they have to do is show up and give the sign-in sheets to someone who is riding.

While I could have gone to Long Branch and done the ride anyway, I didn't know if anyone else would show up given the cancellation email. At that point it was easier just to ride from home.
