I had predicted the conditions would be better than average if the roads dried out and the forecasted breeze direction would hold up.  Well, neither happened.   A rogue cell dumped light rain on about 50% of the course about an hour before the start time and the shifting East to NE breeze pretty much died out.   The wet roads made for some slower than normal turns.

Two TTers showed up to snub their nose at Mother Nature.  Tiago gave it his best effort to challenge his PR and rocketed through the course in a FMT of 21:46 (27.56mph).   He stated his power was only 2 watts off of his PR power.   The wet turns definitely slowed his progress.  Dick Rybinski took the honors in the road division.  Again, being careful in the turns left well off of his best time this year.  

There was an Amy Kneale sighting on the course.  She was doing a workout in her TT bike.  Hmmm... Far be it for me to speculate that a TT record attempt is in the works.  Oops!  I think I just did. My bad. 

Nine days and counting for the start of the Vuelta !   That'll be a lot more interesting than watching my Mets get thrashed night after night.
