We had a good turnout at Saturday's DeRuyter Reservoir Tour club ride, with 12 members and 3 guests joining the ride despite the earlier rain, oppressive humidity, and the occasional threat of pop-up storms.
Ten cyclists conquered the 35-mile tour around DeRuyter Reservoir, while five enjoyed the downhill section of Oran Delphi road on the return loop of the 19-mile course. I did not hear of any maintenance or other issues.
As a small peloton, a group of eight riders set an impressive pace that lit up the 35-mile course. I offered to sweep the 35-mile course, riding many minutes behind the Tour riders. The only cyclist I swept was myself.
Ride on!
