The weather didn't quite pan out as predicted. We expected 79 degrees, 9mph, partly sunny and 42% humidity. At start time the temperature had dropped to 73 degrees, light breeze, overcast and high humidity.
Six TTers rolled to the line to tackle the TT course. Not surprisingly, Tiago took the FMT honors with a blistering time of 21:57(27.34mph). He was disappointed that his speed wasn't higher given that his power output was higher than previous TTs. The cooler humid air may have been a factor. Phil took honors in the RoadAero division with a time of 27:41(21.67mph) even after riding over 100 miles over weekend. Sean and Rich made significant improvements from their previous TTs. Rich took off almost 3 minutes! Mike Hopper decided to try his hand (legs actually) at the TT after a 25+ year sabbatical. His legendary TT muscle memory was on display as he impressively rode a 27:27 on his road bike with what appeared to be comfy walking shoes without being clipped in.

It appears that the road crews are prepping to do work on Chestnut Ridge and Black Creek. There is signage indicating work will soon begin. I'll monitor the situation.
The TOUR DE FRANCE starts tomorrow !!! Peacock will provide start to finish coverage of the Tour. It only costs about $6/month. Well worth it, if you ask me.
