Seven riders rode a total of 187 miles participating in this morning’s 4th of July quarter century on a day that proved to be hotter than predicted. All expressed that they wouldn’t have gotten out today if there hadn’t been a 25-mile option and enjoyed the route and ride. Two were used to riding at a much faster pace than the rest of us but were good sports about sticking with the rest of us and enjoying a leisurely conversational ride on quiet country roads. They peeled off with 10 miles to get their speedwork in - happy to have had the pleasure of their company for the first 15! No drop doesn’t mean you can’t ride faster - as long as you know how to get back! Five of us stopped for cool air and cold beverages at Dunkins in Canastota. This is becoming The Other Donut Ride!
