17 members participated in the traditional July 4th 50/100
It was a fast start with 5 century riders going out ahead of the rest of the group
The rest of the group was doing 18-19 mph Lots of speed to start. Then the group split at Rt 31 with 3 century riders going the other way.
There was one rider with a flat and couldn't break the bead so concluded the ride at 43. Don't know how the return was acutated.
The other flat occurred at Sylvan beach (a small glass sliver) after the circle K gas station.
One rider had to rent a car because a tree fell on his mini van.
So it was a nice warm and humid day but the wind was slight from the west.
Look forward to next year July 4th ride. Let us know what route you want next year!
