Charitable Fundraiser Details:
On August 22, we're riding to raise funds to tackle a specific type of cancer driven by the exon 20 genetic mutation. Your contributions will provide seed money for vital research targeting the transformation of this lethal diagnosis into a manageable chronic disease. Lessons learned will also be directed toward other cancers. To date, we have raised approximately $43,000 thanks to 170 donors. Yet, we're aiming for $70,000 to fund our initiatives.
The money raised from our VERY successful 2023 bike ride went to the following research groups that are focusing on key areas of unmet needs: understanding resistance mutations; understanding potential drug combinations based on mutational profiles; understanding CAR-T cell therapy's application to the solid tumor arena:
MD Anderson Cancer Center
University of Pennsylvania
University of Texas Southwestern
University of Pittsburgh
University of San Francisco
My thanks to each of you for considering participating in this ride.
Regards,
Bob
