We had primo conditions Tuesday night. The temperature was in the low 80s and the SW breeze dropped below 6mph.
Six riders rolled to the line for their Ride of Truth. And most came out of the other side with smiles on their faces. Rob Coapman turned back the clock and scorched the course in a Fastest Man Time (FMT) and PR time of 21:52 (27.44mph). In doing so he had to do something that occurs as often as Halley's Comet being visible from Earth - he passed Tiago. Tiago hadn't been on the bike for 2 months and still managed to post a time that most of us would love to obtain - 22:36 (26.55mph). Mike H sliced the course in a PR time of 25:08 (23.88mph). Ken and Sean posted their best 2024 times. Phil came to the realization during the TT that he isn't quite recovered from Covid.

Not much time for Vuelta news tonight.... Roglic continues to chip away at O'Connor's lead. Enric Mas, Landa, Carapaz, Yates and Bennett are all within 2:30 of Roglic who still sits over 3 minutes behind O'Connor. All are vying for a spot on the podium. There are some huge Mtn stages coming that will test O'Connor's ability to stay with the other GC contenders. American defending champ Sepp Kuss has had a rough time of it so far and sits 8 minutes back. He's a long shot for the podium.
