Dang! I thought I sent these out already!
Tuesday evening was very sticky and warm.... about 80 degrees and 70% humidity. The roads were still slightly wet in the shaded areas. While the breeze was supposed to be light out of the NW, the TTers perceived a tailwind in the first three miles heading west.
Four TTers rolled to the line for the Race of Truth. Tiago returned to the TT course after his smashing victory in the GL Tri several weeks ago. He took the FMT honors by crushing the course in a time of 22:01(27.25mph). Ken T had a break-through ride by posting his fastest time for 2025. He sliced the course in a time of 25:54 (23.17mph) in the RoadAero category. He was the only Tter to reduce his time week over week. Everyone else was approx 20-40 seconds slower.
Next Tuesday's weather looks to be similar to this past Tuesday. Let's hope so!
Tour de France starting today (Saturday) ! That means three weeks of getting a little less sleep and disengaging from domestic and world events. Again, one month of a Peacock subscription is small price to pay for great TdF coverage.
