A final reminder for the upcoming Fistbump Charity Bicycle Ride '25, a week from Thursday, August 21.

To all Fistbump '25 riders, volunteers (full list below), AND donors:
  • We are achieving GREAT success with fundraising. Current numbers are: $67K from 216 donors This is WONDERFUL!!!
  • There's still time to increase these numbers! Please consider one final reach-out to your family, friends, and colleagues: https://askican.ejoinme.org/fistbump
    • Consider personalizing your reach-out, i.e., share why this is important to you
    • Please seek employer match donations. Some of you have done this to great effect!
    • If you want to know how you're doing fundraising-wise, let me know.
  • RIDING details for Thursday, August 21.
    • Riders - please show up at Summit Church (Oran) by 1:30 (bathroom available).
    • Volunteers – please arrive at 1:15 for a safety and assignment briefing. You have all received a separate email from Tracy Stauffer.
    • Important: The parking lot has limited capacity. If possible, please have someone drop you off or carpool if possible. Otherwise, if the lot is full, park up at the Circle-K/Walgreens plaza and ride down.
    • Group foto at 1:45, safety briefing at 1:50, blessing of the bikes at 1:55, start of ride at 2:00. We're thinking that all riders should be back at Summit church by 5 p.m.
    • Tracy Stauffer will be holding down the fort at the church.
    • All of you (riders & volunteers) will be required to sign a waiver prior to participating. The waivers are attached below, or you can sign one at the event.
    • Here are the gps coordinates of the routes, courtesy of Peter Ricciardiello.
    • If you plan on doing the 60 miler, please let me know and I'll connect the group. Approximate start time will be noon. This will NOT be supported. Here's the route:
    • Please remember: SAFETY! Single file to start, two max side-by-side as you get underway.
    • Finally: Is there anyone here who knows someone who could create a short video of the event??? Someone who can gather still-shots plus video and create a 1-2 minute story of the day? Please let me know.
  • POST-RIDE celebration details for Thursday, August 21
    • YOU ARE ALL INVITED!!! All riders, volunteers, and donors
    • All participants and donors (and spouses) are invited to join us at Meier’s Creek Brewery for a post-ride celebration.
    • Start time: 5:30 p.m., but available at 5:00 for anyone who arrives early. Apps & beverages available to start. Two drink tickets per person, then cash bar.
    • Dinner: will come out around 6:00 p.m.
