Yesterday, 40 riders completed various distances from Lysander Town Park and enjoyed a magnificent meal afterwards. It turned out to be a cool but pleasant day. I did not manage to take any photos during the event but the real vistas were experienced by the riders out on course. One unfortunate rider snapped a chain around Hannibal but he returned safely to the park. I’d like to thank you for your generosity to our charity sponsor, the Alzheimer’s Association, a most worthy cause, and for their organization staffing our rest stops in Oswego and Phoenix,
Special thanks also goes out to Mike Lyon, whose tireless efforts have brought us these wonderful events for decades now. I’d also be remiss not to shout out our chef extraordinaire Roland Pearson, whose culinary delights have graced our rides for many years. Your humble president learned first hand this year that a lot of preparation and work go into these events.
Stay tuned for our end of January annual meeting/banquet, which is in the planning stages as we speak! Details will follow!
Thanks again!
