Hey folks,

One week left to register for the OCC Syracuse CX GP and we have an exciting update on the Upstate CX Race Series (See details below).

Volunteers:
We're still looking to round-out our team of volunteers.  OCC members are the lifeblood of all of our events, and our races are no different.  

Friday 16 October 
12:00 to 4:00 pm: Course set-up at the park; setting stakes and taping the course. Note that the days of hammering in wooden stakes is long gone, now we use step-in stakes and cones to mark the course.
Saturday 17 October 
8:00 am to 1:45 pm: Help with registration, USACycling officials and podium awards.
1:45 - 4:00 pm: Course tear-down.  This goes quick, and the more people we have, the faster it goes.

If you can help it would be extremely appreciated, and it adds to your time for volunteer awards at our banquet!  Please let me know if you're available so that we can organize the set-up and race as efficiently as possible.

Registration and Race Series Update!

Registration for the 2026 OCC Syracuse Cyclocross GP closes in one week!  Don’t wait and miss the deadline, register today!  


Come out to Long Branch Park Saturday October 17th 2026 and celebrate over 50 years of CX racing with the Onondaga Cycling Club.  Bring the family, as the course is great for both spectators and racers!


Register via BikeReg.  Don’t wait, registration Closes Wednesday night, October 14th at 8:00 pm.

2026 Upstate CX Race Series Sponsorship and Prizes (Update!)


Pursuit Racing is excited to sponsor the Upstate CX Series, a collaboration between the OCC Syracuse Cyclocross GP on October 17 and Marbletown Madness CX on October 18 in Upstate New York.

Race both days for a chance to win cash prizes! If at least 30 riders participate in the series, we’ll award $500, $300 and $200 to three winners chosen by random drawing, one cash prize per winner. If fewer than 30 riders qualify, we’ll still award $300 and $200 to two randomly selected winners.

To qualify, simply start at least one race at each event. Each eligible rider receives one entry in the drawing, which will take place after the races at Marbletown on Sunday. You do not need to be present to win. Checks will be mailed to the winners during the week of October 19.


Pursuit Racing is committed to supporting local bike races across Upstate New York, and we look forward to lining up at both courses later this month. Invite your friends to race both days and help us reach 30 eligible riders for the larger prize pool!
