Volunteers help the Games come to life in many different ways and span a diverse range of roles and responsibilities across eight distinct categories in your preferred sport. Each require different skills and strengths and LA28 wants to highlight what you bring to the table, assigning you to a role that lets you shine the most. Roles include: Ceremonies, Communications, Driving, Experience, Medical, Operations, Sport, and Technology. In order to apply, you must be 18+ at the time of application, proficient in English, and available for a minimum of 10 non-consecutive shifts during the Olympic (March-August 2028) or Paralympic (August-September 2028) volunteer periods. Led by coach Rich Drew of The Ride Series, riders spent eight hours on the trails at Slaughter Pen and Coler Mountain Bike Preserve, learning how small technique tweaks can mean more speed and control.
