My son’s lacrosse game was postponed from last night to today, so I’m no longer available to lead a no drop ride along Pleasant Valley. Please be assured that if you were planning on doing the ride, the road is still there and easy to find and navigate. I apologize - I am not at all happy it was rescheduled to today since it’s also their prom evening, but they don’t ask us parents. I’m a huge fan of the Pleasant Valley ride, so I plan to do two out and backs on a variation of the nine mile ride for a total of about 18 - 19 miles. Leisurely (except for downhills) and no drop. I’m going all the way to the end of Pleasant Valley and then turning around. (Map below) When I get back to the west end, I’ll turn around for a second trip out and back, but anyone wanting to ride shorter can return to the park then. Karen Kelly, your slow and easy if I can do it anyone can rider! On Thu, Apr 2 ...Continue Reading

Well, it was a no show. But, I rode anyway. Temps were fine, never cold. It was windy, but not too many harsh gusts. Dry roads, some sun. Tried the Ride with GPS and it worked great—just hard to hear with wind and road noise. Not really flat though, those rollers out there are steep enough that I'm beat tonight. So, 1 rider, 32 miles. Hello! Happy Spring! Don't forget to make time for an event you will love.... paddling down Nine Mile Creek on a May evening. *Wednesday May 10th 2023. Details are attached, including the waiver.* Waivers will also be available at the put in. Please let us know that you are coming and what you'd like to help out with. Canoeists/kayakers to pull the float boxes are obviously crucial, but so too are extra kayakers and canoeists to help on the water. We also need a ground crew for transferring fish (at the hatchery and/or ...Continue Reading

Hello All, I'm the ride leader for tonight's Wed night ride. I'm hoping to bend reality into a decent evening. The Ride Calendar still isn't showing a leader assigned. Don't know why, I had this problem of a slow response last season also. Start is at 5:30 at Longbranch. 25 and 32 mile options. Flat. It'll be cool, but great so give it a shot!
