August 28th 2025 MST

I'm the ride leader for tomorrow morning. [occ2] OCC Ride Saturday Aug. 30

August 27th 2025 MST

Hello, your three weekends in a row ride leader here! I’ve just signed up to lead Warners Unrambled on Saturday, August 30. I ramble around Warners all the time, so why not? 😅The distance options are listed as 16 and 28 miles. I thought there was an Unrambled that included the 38 mile option out to Weedsport, but I only find it separately. I’m including that link because I know there will be some riders who want to stretch their legs a little more. All three routes start and end along the same roads - varying only ...Continue Reading

[occ2] Saturday Ride Report

August 24th 2025 MST

Wow! A fantastic turnout for Saturday’s rather breezy Fayetteville - Happy Valley ride. Nineteen members and two guests - one of whom was riding solo in the area and joined one of the groups - rode creative distances from 22 to 66 miles, for a total of 928. That Tag Road detour is making it interesting on the east side. The 38 mile ride turned into 43 between the detour and being routed over a road that no longer exists. Thankfully a rider who grew up and still lives in that area took the lead to get everyone around and ...Continue Reading

[occ2] Fri. ride

August 22nd 2025 MST

From: mailto: 8 riders on today's pretty hilly ride from Jamesville. One rode 27 mi., the rest of us rode 32 with a slight modification of the route, taking Berwyn/Collins/Berry from Pompey Hill instead of Rt. 20. It was a very social ride and we regrouped often. No incidents to speak of. Ed Luban ...Continue Reading

[occ2] Sat. Aug 23 OCC Ride

August 21st 2025 MST

Hi, I’m your happy ride leader for Saturday’s Fayetteville-Happy Valley ride, starting at 9 a.m. out of Wellwood School in Fayetteville. (Aug 23)Technically, there are four distances: 22, 38, 49, and 63 (metric century), however some of us will be riding 29 miles. That route will start and finish like the 22-miler, but we’ll ride a bit further to the north on quiet country roads. Anyone is welcome to join this group as well. We won’t drop anyone, but if you think you might be slower than the main pack, I’d encourage you ...Continue Reading

[occ2] OCC Tuesday Night Time Trial results - week 13

August 21st 2025 MST

Mother Nature can be a bit petulent.  I did not expect any precipitation until after 8pm.  While the temperture (74 degrees) and S-SE breeze (7mph) were consistent with the predictions, scattered rain drops began to fall while the TTers were on the course.  Luckily, the rain never intensified.I had predicted that the conditions were very favorable for faster times.  I contend a SE breeze is best.  The results below speak for themselves. We had seven TTers roll up to the start line.  Th ...Continue Reading
