Hi everyone,As we transition from Summer into Fall cycling season, I would like to ask you if you have considered becoming more involved in the Onondaga Cycling Club, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization which promotes cycling and organizes cycling events. A great way to become involved is to serve on the club’s Board of Directors, which entails attending monthly virtual Board meetings (with the exception of the November meeting, which is in-person), and providing input and coordination for the cycling events duri ...Continue Reading

Eleven intrepid individuals showed up to ride in wind gusts up to 35 mph today. The “gusts” ended up to be fairly steady with rare moments of “steady” 14 mph intervals. One individual wisely opted to drive back home instead of having to ride the entire way back to the start heading into the maelstrom. That left ten riders who completed 365 miles, miles that also included lake effect sprinkles (tolerable) and brief downpours (not so tolerable, especially when it’s pelted at you). Five rode the full 48 mile distance - kud ...Continue Reading

Cooler temperatures - high 60s - and our typical 6mph NW breeze made for a decent night for the TTers. Especially for those that prefer cooler temps. Five TTers rolled to the start line of Race of Truth. Tiago as usual eviscerated the course with the FMT of 22:45(26.37mph). It will be his last TT of the year. Great Year Tiago! Mike H rode his TT bike w a disk to an impressive time of 25:42(23.35mph). Paul V decided to come out to play for the first time since 2019 a ...Continue Reading

Hello, I signed up to be ride leader (chief paper shuffler) for this Sunday, Sept. 8. Distances range from 22 to 45 miles. If anyone wants to extend and knows where they’re going and how to get back - that’s fine with me! Note that with the arrival of fall weather, start times have moved to 10 a.m. to give the temps a chance to warm up a bit from frosty to cool. I will be riding the 35 mile ride as a no-drop, slower-paced ride, unless we’ll be riding into a stiff wind on the way back - in which case I’ll proba ...Continue Reading

All, I’m the ride leader for the Chimney Bluffs ride tomorrow. We meet at the Fulton Commons Shopping Ctr on Hwy 3 which is 1.5 mi. West of 481. Ride starts at 10 AM. The weather should be in the 70s with no rain but there will be a bit of wind out of the south so it’s a good thing the course is mostly an east-west route. There are 33 and 45 mile courses but to get to Chimney Bluffs the course is 60 miles. Thanks,Phil Dilmore ...Continue Reading
