Hey everyone the annual cyclocross race at Long Branch Park is happening on Oct 16 & 17.  We need help with setup on Oct 15 and tear down on the 17th.  If you can volunteer, even if it’s just a couple of hours that would be great.  We also need a volunteer or 2 during the race to help repair parts of the course.  Setup will start around 1pm on Friday the 15th. The gusty winds of Tuesday late afternoon calmed substantially and we again had decent conditions for the Time Trial.    The direction also shifted slightly from the South to the Southeast.  This provided a slight tailwind for the first 3-5 miles of the course.  Moving up the start time to 5:45pm  may have created a few more concerns for our TTers.  Syracuse Haulers is still active on Smith Ridge at that time, a school bus was on the course and a couple of casual bike riders doing unex ...Continue Reading

Sorry for the delay in reporting.It was a great day!!!  The weather was perfect.  Had some of day ofs register.  Don Butler was his usual competent self-handling registration.  We had 55 riders, which was down nearly 30 from last year.  A bit of a surprise given the restrictions last year.Of course the meal prepared by Roland was delicious.  Not sure how much we raised but sure wish there were more of you that rode.  There was only one flat reported and a camel back left in Phoenix.Tha ...Continue Reading
